她和我說，她在一個學校現場看到了她永遠不會忘記的一幕，學校的主教學樓坍塌了大半，當時正在上課，幾乎有100多個孩子被壓在了下面。全是小學生。一些似乎是消防隊員的戰士在廢墟中已經搶出了十幾個孩子和三十多具屍體，看著那些小小的，帶著紅領巾卻再也無法睜開眼睛的孩子，她說她突然覺得自己說話的勇氣都沒有了。

i just received a phone call from the si chuan reporter, she told me what she had seen with her own eyes, she only described it with 4 words, "the end of the world." She said that she couldn't get herself to keep working, she couldn't help but keep crying, it was too tragic, everywhere, there were the sobs and wails of the people, the rescue team started to save the victims as fast as they could, the photographers that went to the scene took just one picture, and put their cameras aside to rescue the victims as well, the scene was too tragic to just watch.

The reporter told me that what she saw she would never ever forget, the half of a school building collapsed, the 100 students that were studying at the time were all trampled on and squashed. All were primary school students, one of the members of the rescue team managed to save more than 10 students but at the same time, carried more than 30 dead bodies out of the debris. Upon seeing little kids with white uniforms and red neck ties that could no longer move, the reporter was greatly traumatized by the incident.

然而就在搶救到最關鍵的時候，突然教學樓的廢墟因爲餘震和機吊操作發生了移動，隨時有可能發生再次坍塌，再進入廢墟救援十分的危險，幾乎等於送死，當時的消防指揮下了死命令，讓鑽入廢墟的人馬上撤出來，要等到坍塌穩定後再進入，然而此時，幾個剛才廢墟出來的戰士大叫又發現了孩子。
幾個戰士聽見了就不管了，轉頭又要往里鑽，這時坍塌就發生了，一塊巨大的混凝土塊眼看就在往下陷，那幾個往里轉的戰士馬上給其他的戰士死死拖住，兩幫人在上面拉扯，最後廢墟上的戰士們被人拖到了安全地帶，一個剛從廢墟中帶出了一個孩子的戰士就跪了下來大哭，對拖著他的人說你們讓我再去救一個，求求你們讓我再去救一個！我還能再救一個！

At that time, when the rescue was at it's peak of saving the kids,the movement of the rescue team in and out of the scene caused the half of the building that was still standing started to move and shake, it was a huge possibility that it would collapse at any moment as well. the rescue team that was about to enter the area would be putting their life on the line, the captain of the team ordered the rest of the members to come out and not to enter the scene at all costs untill the situation is finally stable.

But, all of a sudden, one of the members of the team shouted in discovery of a surviving child, the ones that heard him disobeyed the orders and ran into the building immediately to salvage whatever they could. That was when the next tragedy was about to happen, The other half of the building fell apart. The other members that were outside pulled the ones that were running towards it. It was a struggle of the will to save lives between one another. It was then, that the member inside the building came out holding another body, wailing, he begged the other members to let him go back in. He wanted to save more, he was desperate to save the little kids.

看到這個情形所有人都哭了，然而所有人都無計可施，只眼睜睜的看著廢墟第二次坍塌。後來，那幾個小孩子還是給挖出來了，但是卻只有一個還活著，看著那些個年輕的戰士抱著那個幸存的小女孩在雨中大叫著跑向救援所在的帳篷的時候，她已經泣不成聲。

我無法想象這在電話中已經如此驚心動魄的情形在當時是怎麼樣一個悲壯的場面，我只知道這是真實的，而且，在現在，在震中地區，這樣的事情還在重復的發生著，就在今夜，我坐在舒適的房間內，第一次意識到我是否應該做些什麼，雖然我不可能到現場去，但是我是否應該做一些力所能及的事情？

於是我眼含著眼淚，首先發了這一篇博文，我知道這篇博文無法帶來什麼實際的幫助，但是，這是我想到的最便捷的，我所能立即做到的第一件事情，一篇文雖然沒有力量，但是至少我可以讓更多的人關注這件事情。只有完成了第一件事情，才有第二件，第三件。

The people that witnessed the whole scene started to weep and cry, they could only just stand and watch the building tumble down onto the ground. After that, the little children were all dug out from the debris, and only one girl survived. The rescue team members all ran towards her and shoting and hugged her in the rain, and brought her immediately to the medical team in the tent. At that time, she could barely even speak.

From the telephone conversation i had, i could never have imagined this saddening situation right at the scene. It was sad enough for me to hear it from the phone. But what i heard was definitely real, what's even worse is that these incidents keep repeating in the areas of the earthquake tremors. Tonight, i sit alone in my house, thinking, what should i do? i definitely could not be at the scene to help, but there must be something that i can do.

Then, teary eyed, i wrote this article. I know that by writing this article, i may not be able to help much,but, this method of help i think is very efficient. The first thing that i could do, was to tell others about the incident through my writing. After writing this article, i will continue to do many other things that i can possibly do to help.

想必大家都对2008年5月12日发生的四川大地震略有所闻吧。对于这个天灾人祸，我想请各位尽一份绵力，捐款帮助四川的灾民。在此成立“Sn1基金会”，目标是在6月1日之前筹得RM1000。所得款项将交至星洲日报办事所以转达给四川灾民。

Everybody, I believe that everyone has heard of the Si Chuan earthquake that took place on the 12th of May, 2008. I sincerely hope that everyone do something to help these victims, through donations at best. We hereby conduct the "Science1 fund raising event", with a target of collecting RM1000 by the First of June. The collected sum will then be donated to the SinChou daily paper headquarters to be given to the victims at Si Chuan.
