title: Penang Bridge Marathon 2009

hi there!!!... long time no see.. glad to know that most of you are fine:)

i came back to Johor Bahru from Penang for just a mere 3 days, because it was compulsary for us to leave the hostel.. so here i am, typing this post, before i go back to Penang tomorrow night..

Actually, life over there wasn't as dull as what i had thought earlier on... let's just take this recent event as an example... Penang Bridge Marathon

Last Sunday, 22nd of November, me and another 165 students from KMPP took part in this marathon at Queensbay... other than 4 girls (who signed up for Half Marathon), all of us were running for fun, we joined the Fun Run, you see.. Although it's called the Fun run, but it's no joke... we had to run 10km!!!... and we were supposed to finish the run within 1.5 hours...to be entitled to get a certificate and a lucky draw voucher...

So, guess what... I managed to reach the finishing line within 1 hour and 20 minutes!!! yay!! well, if it were to be the 'me' last time, i don't think i would be able to reach the finishing line.... heehee but after joging for some time around the college's compound, i seemed to become healthier...:)

we actually went to Queensbay at Saturday night. After spending RM10 watching the 11.40pm Astroboy (which was quite a boring movie) , we had really nothing to do.. and there wasn't any place for us to sleep... so we hung around, finding a place that we could lean on... but i just couldn't fall asleep... so, this became my second time, staying awake throughout the night, ever since i came to Penang... ><

finally, at 1.30am or so, the full marathon started... none of us from our college took part in this category... it was too challenging.. 42 km!!! haha

can you actually see the runners... this shows that they were running at hight speeds...

we were not the only ones hanging around there.... like us, many people came early too... and they also went to the cinema, that's why we couldn't get any tickets for 2012.. haiz... and even though we got tickets for Astroboy, we got the first few rows.... and had to tilt our heads up throughout the whole movie.....haha

it seems like other people were having trouble sleeping too... heehee

finally, at 7.30am, it's our turn to run!!! this is the starting point... actually, there was an aeroplane on the sky, but it's too small.. hahaha

The fun runners...there were a lot of people taking part in the Fun Run... and it wasn't easy to 'overtake' while we were running....well, too bad, couldn't take any pictures while running, although the view from the bridge was very scenic and beautiful.... and there were other things that i couldn't catch them on my camera... like, there was a bride and bridegroom taking part in the run... and there were 2 Digi's yellow man....those who want to take pictures can take pictures with them while running....

and after sweating so much and panting..., i finally reached the finishing line.. (feeling proud of myself)...haha.. After taking my certificate and lucky draw coupon, i went to find the rest... most of them were not back yet... heehee:)

ooohooh, and this is the most interesting part of the day... on the same day of the marathon, 8tv also held it's audition for this "zhong1 ji2 tian1 tuan2"--in chinese 终极天团.. and the most exciting thing is that, we get to see the host of this event-- Gary 叶俊岑.. haha (try spotting him in this picture) :) we were so excited to see him that almost all of us took out our handphones just to take his picture....and we were so embarassed when he kindly asked us if we wanted to take part as well.... ( with our smelly, sweaty marathon t- shirts on??? better not, otherwise we would be getting '' very excellent'' remarks from the judges)hahaha

oklah, i guess that's all about this event... i guess some of you might be having your holidays now, right?? Happy Holidays then... but not for me... semester 2 has just started and it means...study study AGAIN!! haiz... no choice lah, these are the parts and parcels of life:) face them positively, and we'll be able to find the key to success....

going back to Penang tomorrow... haiz...
