How are you guys and girls?
Hope that you all are doing great recenly ^^
To me, my life in singapore is awesome recently !
This is because ....I played Pétanque sport. haha:)
I have been trained for about 2 days a week for 5 weeks.
Then I was chosen to represent Ngee Ann Polytechnic to enter the Inter Poly-Tertiary Pétanque competition....Woohoo~~
Let's talk about Pétanque...
Pétanque is a form of boules where your goal of playing this sport is, while you are standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground and then you throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet or a jack.
This game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel.
So it's quite different from the bowling that we played at Pelangi Leisure Mall there...

the green color one is the jack and beside that is the boule :)

Pétanque is played by two, four or six people in two teams.
You can also compete as individuals with your friend in casual play.
For me, I played 3 versus 3 with other schools like NTU,NUS,NYP and Millennia Institute.
Each of us in the team will hold two boules.
The player who threw the jack then throws their first boule.
A player from the opposing team then makes a throw.
Continue play with the team that is not closest to the jack.
This team has to continue throwing until they either land a boule closer to the jack than their opponents or run out of boules. (Total boules for each team in an end will be 6 boules)
Total score for this sport is only 13 points.
In order to win this game, you must be the first team to reach 13 points.

The competition was started at 2pm at Toa Payoh near the Sports Hall. (30th of October)

There are total 14 teams played in this competition for this year.

For the 1st match, my team played against same Ngee Ann Poly's team,we won 13-0 :]
For the 2nd match, we played against Millennia Institute team 1, we lost to them 9-13 :(
To be qualify into quarter-final, we must win one more match.
So for the 3rd match, we played against NTU team 2,we won 13-8 :)
Because of the rain, the organizer said the total point will be 9 points.
Our 4th match against Millennia Institute team 3, that time the field was damp,
but we won 9-1 :D
For semi-final match, we played against Millennia Institute team 2, again we won 9-4 :P
So my team managed to enter the final for this competition, but again,
we need to play against the Millennia Institute team 1...so scary T.T...
(Final match total points must be 13 according to rules)
At the beginning of this match, we were leading them by 9 points...!!@!!
But one of them was too pro(national team of singapore if I am nt mistaken).
He manage to shoot the ball away that I placed near to the jack T.T
So eventually, we lost to them AGAIN@.@ 11-13
And my team got the 1st runner up for this competition...

This is the trophy I get :D

Haha, I was so near to be the Champion lo!!!

So, this is my recent life in singapore.
